On Friday Afternoon, Machakos County Governor Wavinya Ndeti visited maandamano victims who are admitted at Machakos Level 5 Hospital.
The victims were injured during Wednesday's Maandamano from different areas within the county.
Wavinya noticed that most of the victims had not secured NHIF Health Cover, forcing her to voluntarily pay for their Health Cover for atleast a period of 3 months.
It is a move that has been taken positively by the victims, their families and Machakos people at large
She vowed to stand in their space of treatment until they all recover and get discharged from the hospital.
From the Maandamano Demos, 2 people from Machakos County have lost their lives.
Wavinya also paid NHIF Cover for the aged who are admitted at the hospital.
She went ahead congratulating Machakos doctors for they have been actively working to ensure no more lives are lost.

Nicholas Kitavi Nzioka (Wangondi) - Machakos Central Ward MCA warned those who might be importing demonstrators to Machakos, saying that Machakos has been a peaceful place and no one should even think of importing demonstrators, revealing that Wednesday's Maandamano was unhealthy.
