"I Will Uplift The Standards Of Education In Machakos "-Governor Wavinya Ndeti

Machakos County Governor Wavinya Ndeti has vowed to uplift the standards of education in Machakos County. A promise that she has always been on her records.


"I assure teachers and parents that we are going to work together to uplift the standards of education in our County. We have everything it takes to be the best"- said Wavinya

She was speaking at Kathiani Girl's High School on Friday while attending Prize Giving Day


In her speech, Wavinya congratulated the school for the good performance that it had posted in the last KCSE examination.

"Congratulation to all the girls, teachers and parents of Kathiani Girls High School who posted this sterling performance emerging position 63 nationally and the best in Machakos County"- added Wavinya Ndeti


She went on;


"I am happy and proud that Kathiani Girls' High School has stood out as a center of excellence and a distinguished academic giant"


Governor Wavinya has been fully supportive on matters education and she's committed to making a great positive change in the sector

During the day, Wavinya launched Kathiani Girl's High School Magazine " Chronicles OF The Hills "


The school Principal Madam Damaris heartfully echoed Wavinya's speech, saying that she's fully committed to make Kathiani a great school, more than she found it.


She emphasised the importance of academic excellence and urged teachers and students to uphold the spirit of determination and discipline in their academic pursuits.


She added:

"Continue counselling and teaching our young boys and girls on the importance of growing their relationship with the Lord.This will prepare them to serve Christ in all they do,"

Wavinya cautioned the students against indulging in drug abuse and early sex as the vices would derail their focus in education.

Kenyan's second lady, Pastor Dorcas Gachagua, echoed the governor's concerns on abuse of hard substances.
