Kampala has recorded its first Ebola-related fatality since cases of the virus were reported in parts of Uganda in September this year.
According to Uganda's Health Minister Jane Ruth Aceng, the victim, a man, allegedly came into contact with the virus from its epicentre in Uganda's central region. Cumulative deaths in Uganda now stand at 19 according to Aceng.
After developing various symptoms, the victim is reported to have sought out traditional remedies, at another location instead of going to a modern and well-equipped facility.
