Kyanzavi Residents In Matungulu,Machakos Protest Over Increasing Illicit Brew

Residents of Kyanzavi village, Matungulu in Machakos County on Wednesday staged demonstrations over the increase in second generation alcohol and illicit brews in the area.

This comes just days after the residents complained of increasing cases of production of the illicit brew.

“We want both County and national government to take immediate action on this issue or else we will take the matter into our own hands,” threatened the residents.

Speaking to KituiOnline, the residents led by area Chief, Angeline Mutua lamented that their grievances to the authorities were ignored.
