This year's ETA Awards Festivals were held at Semara Hotels in Machakos County
Kyee Mbatha commonly known as captain Green emerged the winner in the category personality of the year( Environment)
Kyee Mbatha is a young environmentis in Kenya,who aims on greening the whole country
Kyee is majorly known for his efforts to change climate for the communities mostly in the lower EASTERN parts face major climate challenges
As a result of unpredictable rains and long droughts ,big percentage of the community that relys on rain have been highly affected
Kyee Mbatha has come to fill the gap with him having different projects to help change climate
He has been instrumental in the formation of grassroots community- based organisations to help tame climate change
Today,the Lower Eastern Region of Kenya ans the country at large celebrates him for his heavily efforts to tame climate change
In the just past ETA Awards Festivals 2022,Kyee Mbatha was crowned personality of the year- Environment, which gives him a big boost in his voluntary line of work to the community
And this is his message after he won the ETA Awards Festivals 2022 as the personality of the year- Environment

This award has given me extra courage and strength to double my efforts in tackling climate change issues. The rain season is here, let's plants more fruit trees as this will not only help fight climate change but also ensure food security for our families"
