Locals In Machakos Blame County Inspectorate For Chasing After Vehicles Blindly , Causing Accidents

Machakos Town Residents have raised alarm following the increased number of accidents that have occurred following Machakos County Inspectorate Chase - and - Follow games within the town.


On sunday 30th, 4 people who were travelling in a tuktuk around Machakos Level 5 Hospital were injured after an Inspectorate vehicle hit the tuktuk causing Accident.


The 4 included 2 children and 2 adults.


Speaking to Rada TV after the incident, eye witnesses blamed County Inspectorate for their habits of chasing after vehicles blindly within a busy town like Machakos.


"Not once but severally. We've seen the County Inspectorate chase cars and more so Nissan and Maruti blindly. They always time' on them and start chasing them from behind and this has been dangerous even to themselves. They don't take road precautions."- said a resident


Just the other day, County Inspectorate hit another Tuktuk around Kenol -Kwa Munuka Petrol Station causing fatal accident.

The County Inspectorate Officers survived thoroughly beatings by irate local Mwananchi.


Residents said that there are better smooth and creative ways of implementing their laws rather than chasing after vehicles, causing accidents every now and then.


They said they won't put up with such Inspectorate behaviours.


They called on Col. (Rtd) Gedion Mbithi - Chief Officer Inspectorate to make positive changes within the Inspectorate on how to handle law breaking vehicles rather than blindly chasing after them.
