During an exclusive interview with Rada TV Kenya on Wednesday Afternoon, Machakos County Attorney - James Kathili asked parents to provide proper care to their children during this festive season
"Provide proper guidance to children and closely monitor their peer groups and what they watch on social media sites"- said Wakili Kathili
According to Wakili Kathili,this festive season while children are on their December holiday, it's the vital time for parents to take charge and administer moral guidance to their children
"Please parents take your time,sit down together with your children,check on where rightful to correct"- added Kathili
The Machakos County Attorney- James Kathili went on:
"Many adolescent girls get impregnated when attending night discos.As parents,it's our role to provide enough security measures to our children. Let's not allow bas peer influence "
Some parents have lost touch with their children
Kathili said children need to be closely monitored to prevent them from falling into traps of predators who violate their rights
"We can't win the war against teen pregnancies if parents are left behind. They should also take parental responsibility to help children "- James Kathili
To form four leavers, Kathili said that they should know that learning does not end at sitting National Examinations
He added that it's good for children to listen to their parents/guardians advices for their positive growth morally.
"And I ask our children to be obedient to their parents . Open up to your parents for it's crucial and you shall be blessed.
Wakili Kathili used the opportunity to wish all Kenyans a Happy New Year 2023 full of God's blessings and grace.
