Machakos County DG Francis Mwangangi revealed that The government of Ireland seeks to:
✓ offer support to our fruits farmers across the county interms of knowledge and on-farm produce practices to create and implement innovative smart economic production systems.
✓Sustainable food systems across the county.
✓The farming mechanisms to attain the required international standards for our farmers produce to enter european union market.
Tropical Fruits Processing Hub in Kasolongo Mwala Sub-County presents the opportunity for Farmers in Machakos and other counties to market their farm produce
This will be a benefit not only in Kenya but also international Markets
"Through our partnerships we intend to transform Machakos from a relief receiving county to a county capable of feeding it's people and engineer trade for agricultural products" he said
Mwangangi assured them of total support and commitment to working together to better the lives of the people.
In attendance were Machakos Chief of Staff Lawrence Ngovi, CECMS lands Philip Kilonzo,Trade and industry Sharon Mutua and several chief officers among other leaders.
