Mua Hills Hospital in Machakos conducts free medical camp

Hundreds benefit from free medical camp organised by Mua Hills Hospital Over 200  residents from Mua Hills and it's environs in Machakos Town Constituency, Machakos County benefited from a free medical camp that was conducted yesterday ( Saturday) by Mua Hills Hospital

The Hospital is located at Mua Hills-Ivelini near Radah in Machakos Town Constituency, Machakos County

The exercise commenced at 8 am and was closed at 5pm

Mua Hills Hospital is a newly constructed hospital in Mua Hills which was officially opened yesterday

According to Mua Hills Hospital Director Purity Nzuki,they saw it wise to conduct a free medical camp on their first ever day in the hospital, so as to reach out to locals who are suffering from different ailments by bringing them different specialists

"Together with other senior doctors and the management, we planned this so as to reach out to the locals from this area and it's environs so as to help them have a one on one interactions with specialist and get tested so as to know their health conditions. Through this,it will be so easy to work on any disease diagnosed incase of any"- she said

She went on asking locals to plan for regular medical check ups,saying that check ups are very vital and they shouldn't be underrated even if one feels health and kicking well

"Most of the people end up realising that they are sick of some killer diseases because they don't go for medical check ups. It is good for one to go for medical check ups regularly. This helps. Let's not ignore and regret later"- Purity added

She cautioned locals on the habit of rushing to shops buying painkillers whenever they feel sick,saying it is dangerous to use any medicine that hasn't been prescribed by the doctor at any given moment

Mua Hills Hospital will now be serving as a  24 hour hospital
