On Sunday 30th July , Machakos County Deputy Governor Francis Mwangangi urged the church to spread the Gospel of peace in the country.
Speaking at Our Lady of Lourdes Machakos Cathedral Church, while attending Church service , Mwangangi asked the church to pray for Kenya ,for leaders to unite in peace and the nation to progress
"The church is not just the Bishop or priests and in the same way,Kenya is not about the President. If we work together we are bound to grow this nation beyond "- said Mwangangi
He added:
"As you all know, we are going through tough economic crisis. The cost of living is very high. Kindly, let you pray for the country and our leaders too"
Mwangangi said that for the nation to progress successfully, prayer and unity are key factors.
"Let's pray for our Country Kenya to overcome the challenges that we as Kenyans are facing"- said Mwangangi
In his speech, Mwangangi asked the Government and Opposition, if they will by any chance have a dialogue, factor tye interests of Common Mwananchi.
