"Raila can't win"-says Alfred Mutua

Machakos County Governor and DP William Ruto's pointman in Ukambani Dr Alfred Mutua has warned that former prime minister Raila Odinga has minimal chances of winning the forthcoming presidential polls.

Mutua who spoke on Monday while addressing a series of rallies at Masinga,Mbiuni and Kawethei towns in Machakos County said Raila's it will be hard for him to win the polls after his strongholds being invaded by Ruto.

Mutua said Ukambani region which initially voted for Raila overwhelmingly will give Ruto an equal share.

"Kamba people are very wise and know how to do political mathematics. Raila initially had an intact political bloc for Western, Nyanza, Coast region and Ukambani which could give him over 80% and that's why he could go head go head with Mwai Kibaki and Uhuru Kenyatta, today regions like Mt Kenya ,Lower Eastern and Western Kenya will vote for Ruto." Said Mutua.

Mutuas remarks come barely a day after Raila toured Machakos county in a company of Wiper party leader Kalonzo Musyoka in a bid to consolidate his support base.

On Wednesday (today) Raila will tour Makaueni County where he is set to address a rally in Kibwezi town.

The Maendeleo Chap Chap party boss Kenyans were keen on electing a president who understands their needs.

He took a swipe on Raila saying he was planning to ban Mitumba clothes that are highly used by common Mwananchi.

Mutua who recently ditched Raila for DP Ruto led Kenya Kwanza warned Kenyans on electing the former prime minister who is under control of the outgoing president. "Raila is not only a puppet but also a captive of Uhuru's administration" He said.

He hit out at Wiper party leader Kalonzo Musyoka for what he described as misleading the Kamba community to the opposition.

" Railas government is full. A half of current Uhuru's cabinet have already been allocated positions in Raila government should he win in August polls. He will not get anything for Kamba community" Said Mutua.
