FLORENCE MBITHE is her name. The super woman behind the SUCCESSFUL NURU CHILDREN'S HOME which is located in Bondeni slums,Athiriver in Machakos County.
Nuru CHILDREN'S HOME is one of the best known children homes in Machakos, which is majorly known for provision of hope for the less fortunate and orphans.
Florence Mbithe has been owning children home precisely for 10 years period.
She begun another children home in Athiriver and later thought of constructing another one at Bondeni Slums.
Those who know FLORENCE, mention her as an outgoing lady with passion in people and goalminded to help the society.
On Sartuday 29th April while celebrating two graduands who were raised at the CHILDREN'S HOME and who have successfully completed their university studies, Founder FLORENCE revealed that it is only through God, that it happened.
She noted that she has denied herself laxity of the world to help the less fortunate.
Addressing the Media during the event , Founder Florence Mbithe said that at many times she has struggled but she has never lacked.
One of the two graduands has been a beneficiary of the Nuru Children's Home in Athiriver since when he was in class 6 and today he boasts acquiring Degree in Architectural Engineering.
The home currently hosts 75 kids who are on different study levels (Primary, Secondary, Tertiary & University)
Mbithe's aim is to make a big smile on kids from less privileged families and the orphans.
