Widely known as Senator Kavindu,but officially Agnes Kavindu Muthama,She is onset to fight for her Senatorial Seat in this year's general elections
Senator Agnes Kavindu is giving her competitors sleepless nights.It's not game as usual again.
Senator Kavindu was elected as Machakos County Senator on March 2021,during a by-election after the death of Senator Kabaka.
At the peak of the by-election campaigns which catapulted her to Senate she tearfully asked voters to elect her because she had been rejected by her husband adding she was also human and needed a job to sustain herself.

"What should one do when divorced? Am I supposed to die?
I am also human,"she told a political rally.
Her remarks were captured in a song by popular Benga Artiste Ken Wa Maria: 'Onake Kavindu no Mundu'(Kavindu is also human).
The song became her rallying call.
The matrimonial feud would later be revisited during a public event in Mitaboni when Wiper leader Mr Musyoka in jest told Muthama to his face 'I will return your wife to you when she becomes Senator'.
A furious Muthama had to be restrained as he rose from his seat advancing towards the Wiper Party leader.
With the clock fast ticking towards the August general election,it is now clear that Senator Agnes Kavindu Muthama will retain her position.
Senator Kavindu has done well as a Senator.She has given the appropriate Oversight to the people of Machakos, no matter having been in power for only 1 year
She now calls Machakos County people to re-elect her for the position again,atleast for 5 good years,so as to be able to work rightfully with humble time
"Machakos deserves the best leadership for prudent management of our county affairs and effective oversight of our county resources,"says Kavindu
"I need to ensure that my people get what they deserve. True and fruitful leadership is key.As your Senator,I will always offer heartful and sincere leadership with no discrimination "-said Senator Kavindu
Kavindu will still be battling for the position again in this year's general elections come august 9th,on a Wiper Party ticket
According to analysis done by Rada TV,Senator Kavindu is in people hearts, following her heartful leadership to the people of Machakos.
Faith Mueni,Masii resident,said that Senator Kavindu is the only Change that they can believe,mentioning her as hardworking and confident person,saying that for the county to grow,it needs leaders like Senator Kavindu
"Leaders are chosen by God.Senator Kavindu has always been a God fearing servant. This is a true definition that she is God chosen.We trust her for the task.She is so confident and hardworking"
Recently, Kavindu visited Machakos Level 5 Hospital, where facilities have collapsed, to check on the situation, one of her roles as a Senator, Oversight.
"I am willing and ready to sign the social contract with the people of Machakos County that I MUST deliver as their Senator"-said Senator Kavindu
